Dental Social Posts [Great Idea!]

by MoreConversions | Jan 31, 2018 | Dental SEO Tips | 0 comments

(365 days of dental social posts for $20.  That seems like a bargain to us!)

We Love Dental AdWords (there’s something wrong with us!)

At ConversionSmiles, we eat, breath and sleep everything dental PPC related.   We leave the free stuff like dental SEO, dental blog content creation and dental social strategy to other professional agencies that focus on those areas.

However, we are big believers that dental practices paying for dental ppc campaigns should include seo, blogging and social media in their overall digital strategy.

Dental PPC Is A Beautiful Thing

Dentist AdWords campaigns are the best way on the planet to find a dental patient who is looking for a new dental practice immediately. Patients actively looking for help will go to Google and search for help.  Those prospective dental patients will click on good dentist ads. Some of the dental patients will fill out forms on good dental landing pages or will call the dental office directly.  When it all works, dental PPC is a beautiful thing.

Why Dentists Should Not Focus Exclusively On AdWords

So, what’s the problem?  Why shouldn’t dentists just focus on AdWords campaigns?  There are a few reasons.  First, there are only so many people searching on Google for a new dental practice at any given time.  Even, if you get 20% of those people to choose your dental practice (by the way, you won’t) there still might not be enough new patients to grow your dental practice effectively.  Some of those searchers will never click on a dentist Google ad.  In fact, some estimates indicate less than 10% of search clicks are PPC ad clicks.

Also, your dental practice might find certain dental keywords in AdWords are stupidly overbid (ex. Dental Implants $53) by your competitors and not profitable enough to pursue.

So, What Is a Dental Practice To Do?

We think dental practices should focus on AdWords but they should also make sure they are actively optimizing SEO, constantly blogging and being consistently present in social media channels like Twitter, Facebook & YouTube.

The Problem With Twitter & Facebook for Dentists

Both Twitter & Facebook are wonderful social networking platforms for dentists.  But, they both require a constant flow of new ideas.  “Hmmm, what should we post about today?”  No idea of what to post usually means no post. No social posts for months and you may as well not be on Twitter or Facebook because it looks like your dental practice is well, ummm…. dead.

365 Days of Dental Social Posts

So, we ran across a book 365 Days of Social Posts for Dentistry that we thought our ‘Dental AdWords Blog’ readers would find helpful when it comes to social posts.

Let’s face it, dentist and the kind folks who work in dental offices are not necessarily the most creative people on planet earth. The book is filled with ideas that will get you thinking and motivated!

(By the way, we have no affiliation with Rachel Mele but the book seems like a darn good idea to us. )

Here’s how the book is described on Amazon…

“365 Days of Social Posts for Dentistry is a daily guide for dental practices to create funny, informative, educational and engaging social media posts centered around getting and keeping patients. Each day of the year includes examples of what to say and how to say it with links to live examples.”

Here’s what we learned about the author Rachel Mele on her website…

“Rachel Mele is a dental executive, speaker and author who combines her zeal for technology with a commitment to helping dental practices be successful with online solutions.  With a proven track record in bringing practices into the digital age, her high-energy, data-rich presentations make the complexities of dentistry in the digital age easier to understand.”

Cheap Investment If It Can Improve Your Dental Social Media Strategy

You can get 365 Days of Social Posts for Dentistry on Amazon for $19.99 or only $9.99 on the kindle. (at the time of this writing)

365 Days of Social Posts for Dentistry

Will it save your dental social strategy? No! Should you use every idea you see in the book and sound like every other dentist on social media? No!  Is it worth $20 because it will get your mind going, give you some good ideas and motivate your dental practice to be more active in social media?  Well, yeah. Definitely!
